Founded by brother-in-laws Jimmy Nitsolas and Phil Hanos, the restaurant brings over 40 years of combined experience in the industry—much of it right here in Wilmington.
Since opening in 2022, Urban Kitchen has become more than just a restaurant—it’s a place where the community gathers, families reconnect, and everyday moments turn into lasting memories.
After serving in the Greek Navy, Jimmy began his journey in the kitchen as a cook and worked his way up to becoming a chef.
His passion lies in creating meals that are both comforting and memorable. One of his favorite dishes—the Steak Skillet with freshly squeezed orange juice—reflects his love for simple, hearty food and early mornings spent outdoors.
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Phil brings a deep appreciation for both technique and hospitality.
His focus has always been on the guest experience—making sure every meal feels special, no matter the occasion. His go-to recommendation? The Corned Beef Reuben paired with a Lemonade Crush—a perfect balance of comfort and flavor.
Located in the Prices Corner Shopping Center off Kirkwood Highway, Urban Kitchen was designed with the local community in mind.
